Solar panels distributed among 52 religious organizations

   Baglung : At least 52 religious and spiritual organizations here have set up solar power panels with help of Baglung municipality.

The Alternate Energy Promotion Centre handed over the solar power devices to the municipality which in turn gave it to the organizations. The 52 organizations received solar panels, ampere batteries, bulbs and converters.

Baglung's Mayor, Janak Raj Poudel, said the municipal office took a special initiative in bringing the solar power panels. He said 70 organizations had been recommended out of which 52 were selected. Poudel pledged to provide such facilities to the remaining organizations through introduction of a new process.

Omkareshwor Temple's Chairman Dev Bahadur Shrestha hailed the municipality's support to the religious organizations as exemplary. (RSS)
