We all were excited to welcome the guest from Thailand in our school
That day we welcomed the guest from Thailand Chularat (Toyting) Israngkool Na Ayutthaya (1st Vice President, UN The International Federation Business and professional Women).
Let’s recall the moments;
At the very beginning, with the help of class teachers we arranged the students from Pre School to Grade 5 to the North Gate. All the students were holding the flags of Nepal and Thailand. When we got the information of guest arrival, teachers Jyoti Tamang and Renu Rai along with the Pre School students welcomed the guest with bouquet (made by Zoya Maharjan) and Khada. We all welcomed her with the huge round of applause.
They walked through the stairs to the Rose Hall. On the way, she took so many pictures with us and our teachers, uffff unfortunately they photos are in her phone. Anyway we managed to clicked in our phone too. She was welcomed on the gate of hall by two beautiful sisters from Grade 8 (Manghena and Sikha) with beautiful cultural attires.
Everyone from Grade 6, 7, 8 and the performers from Grade 9 in the rose hall welcomed with scout clap. She was so happy that she asked one of us to record her every forwarding steps to the hall and the students in the hall. Then the program begun with the chairing ceremony by Angel Magar from Grade 10. The Chairing was started with the Chairperson of the program, the dynamic and most elegant Founder/Director of Annal Jyoti Ms. Jyoti K.C followed by the Chief Guest: Chularat (Toyting) Israngkool Na Ayutthaya, along with different representatives from BPW Sunakothi Chapter. Over to all, we had one more guest Mrs. Kalpana Maharjan (Mount Everest Summiteer, World Record Holder).
After the formal inauguration by our Chief Guest, Oshiyana Limbu from Grade 8 gave a welcome speech. There was one welcome dance (Maruni Dance) by the students from Grade 9 and one from Grade 8 in their respective cultural attires. They also performed the Thai dance they had prepared a day before. Along with that, we had one song performed by Grade 7 students on “A Million Dreams”. The guest got tears in her eyes with our overwhelming welcome. I still remember the moment when she mentioned that she visited almost 90 countries and our welcome was most heart touching and special for her. We were so happy hearing that. Our efforts were valued. At the end of the program, the guest gave mesmerizing speech where she addressed every one of us and appreciated our work. That 30 minutes’ program was not only joyful for her but also the most memorable as she mentioned.
After the program, we all Students Council Members arranged the things back to their place. We are really thankful to our school for providing these opportunities where we are exploring ourselves in many aspects including our study. We actually felt how it feels when someone’s work is appreciated. We asked our School Management Committee to provide us more such program where we can flourish ourselves in every aspect.
